New Cost-Optimized IPMX Virtual ASIC
Nextera-Adeas has partnered with AMD and intoPIX to offer a new, cost-optimized IPMX virtual ASIC solution designed to help ProAV manufacturers incorporate IPMX capabilities into high-volume, compact products.
This new solution leverages a special AMD Zynq™ 7000 SoC device acting as a “turnkey” IPMX-capable “chip” (virtual ASIC) available for high volume ProAV applications such as compact IP gateways in throw-down boxes, wall plates, and edge devices.
Delivered as a single bitfile pre-integrated with all the required IPMX IP cores from Adeas, Nextera, and intoPIX, the solution enables one channel of visually-lossless 4Kp60 444 video and audio to be transmitted or received over standard 1G/2.5G copper networks. It includes IPMX per VSF TR-10 with JPEG XS IPMX profile, and NMOS including IS-11 for EDID support. Further options are available including PEP (Privacy Encryption Protocol), HDCP, and JPEG-XS with TDC mode (aka TicoXS FIP).
