In addition to the latest Nextera-Adeas ST 2110, ST 2059, and NMOS demo, the Nextera booth hosted a showcase of Broadcast and ProAV customer products that have been developed quickly and easily using Nextera-Adeas FPGA cores and NMOS software.

Vitec MGES 7000 Market Leading High Density 4K/UHD/HD HEVC & H.264 IPTV Encoding Blade
Featuring the highest density available on the market, VITEC’s 4K/UHD/HD HEVC & H.264 IPTV 8-input blade offers real-time hardware encoding of 4K\UHD, high definition and standard definition video. The MGES-7000 offers best-in-class density with four 4Kp60 or 8 3G/HD/SD inputs ports for live sources of SDI, HDMI or IP (SMPTE2110) video. The blade uses hardware-based encoding chips supporting 4:2:2/4:2:0 10 & 8 bit H.264 and HEVC codecs for maximum flexibility and future proof solutions including secondary video streams up to 1080p60 for each input.
Advantech VEGA-3311 4K HEVC Broadcast Video Encoding Card
VEGA-3311 enables HEVC, AVC real-time 1-ch 4K UltraHD (2160p60) and 4-ch FHD (1080p60) encode and decode. It is particularly relevant for 4K UltraHD transmission which requires a much higher stream capacity. VEGA-3311 is tailored for professional media processing and are capable of performing professional grade 4Kp60 Main10 profile HEVC encoding and decoding at less than 35W power consumption. The VEGA-3311 adapter additionally features 4K video capture over built-in 4-ch SDI-3G or 1-ch SDI-12G video inputs for acquisition-based encoding and 4-ch SDI-3G video outputs for acquisition-based decoding in contribution workflows. VEGA-3311 can also support low latency transmission of uncompressed or lightly compressed video over standard IP networks according to industry agreed standards. This card feature a simple-to-use API and example code for FFmpeg and GStreamer multimedia frameworks to streamline product development and their integration into existing applications.
VICO-4L-XS is empowered with the visual lossless JPEG-XS codec and enables visually-loss-less conversion of 4K video signals into ST2110-22 JPEG-XS stream, with ST2022-7 redundancy for protection against data loss. The conversion is achieved with ultra-low delay. The chassis can host up two 4K channels within a single 1RU and is equipped with hot swappable redundant power supplies. Encoding and decoding modes can be configured individually per channel.
OneIP does what it says on the tin. With OneIP, there’s no need for additional receivers and transmitters, it’s all built into the end point. With ultra-low latency, you can expect seamless switching between sources as well as a variety of modes (Point to Point, Multi-Cast and Any-to Any) so you can tailor your needs based on the number of devices desired.
